Odor Control

Nothing says you have a pet rabbit, bird, ferret, mouse, or other critter in your house, backyard or garage more than a yucky odor. You may not notice but, we'll guarantee others do!

Pure Contents

  • Organic Rice Bran
  • Certified Organic Probiotic
  • Blackstrap Molasses
  • Purified Water

DooKashi verified products are produced in compliance with the Non-GMO Project Standard—that means we must follow rigorous best practices for GMO avoidance, including segregation and trace-ability to prevent contamination.  DooKashi is committed to doing our part in keeping pets safe and healthy.

DooKashi® Difference

DooKashi's unique formula is scientifically proven without using masking scents or chemical perfumes.

  • Reduces harmful levels of ammonia odor found in their habitat
  • Works with all bedding types as an additive
  • Cost-effective - extends bedding life
  • Environmentally friendly and safe if ingested (by humans too!)
  • A dry product that doesn't add more moisture to an already wet area

Directions

For best results, begin using DooKashi in a clean cage. Sprinkle on top of or below preferred bedding material (DooKashi works with all kinds) and in sleeping area. Re-apply between bedding changes to maintain freshness and prevent ammonia odors from accumulating. Application size varies depending on the size of pet and type of pet waste it is used on.  In general:

Animal Size                            Type                                                  Application*

Small                                        Ferrets, Mice, Hamsters, Gerbils         1-2 T
Medium                                    Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Rats                  1/4 - 1/2 C
Large                                       Tortoise, Snakes                                   1/2 C

When in doubt, start with a larger amount and then use less once you "smell" that it's working!

Have a finicky pet? Introduce DooKashi by putting it in a clean litter pan and then top with litter/bedding (works with all kinds).  You are the expert on your pets quirks so use your own intuition on application!

Not sure what size to buy? As a guideline: for ferrets (and similar sized pets) a 1 lb bag has 144 tablespoons. A ferret rescue shelter we work with uses 1 T per cage with 4 ferrets so a little DooKashi, goes a long way! For medium and large sized pets, 1 lb bag has 9 cups of DooKashi.

Amount and regularity varies depending on the number of critters you have per cage, type of pet, size, diet, health and ventilation.
